Marine detector bases
The base is the part of a detector that stays fixed to the deckhead and carries the loop wiring; the detector head twists into it. Bases are replaced when they are damaged, corroded or when a system is upgraded to a different head.

About marine detector bases
Bases come in several types – standard, short-circuit isolator, relay and sounder bases – and are made to suit a specific detector family. Check that a base matches both the detector head and the system it connects to.
