Use of the website
The website is provided to help business customers find marine fire detection products, spare parts and related safety equipment, and to request quotations or place order requests. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the website only for lawful purposes.
Image licensing
This section is the licence for photographs on this website. Search engines link to it as the licence for our images.
Who owns the photographs. Product photographs taken by us are owned by Elektro Marine LLC (trading as Fire Detection). Some images may be supplied by manufacturers or other rights holders; those remain their property and are not licensed by us.
What you may do without asking. You may view our photographs on this website, link to the pages they appear on, and use them internally to identify a part, for example to match a spare part on board a vessel or in a purchase request to us.
What needs our written permission. You may not copy, download for reuse, edit, republish or use our photographs on another website, marketplace listing, catalogue, social media account, advertisement or any other material, whether commercial or not, without our prior written permission.
How to request a licence. To ask for permission to use one of our photographs, contact us with the page address of the image, how and where you want to use it, and for how long. We will reply in writing with any conditions, which may include a credit line and a fee. Permission applies only to the use we approve in writing.
Credit. Where we grant permission, the image must be credited as "© Elektro Marine LLC / Fire Detection" unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Unauthorised use. We may ask for unauthorised copies to be removed and take any other action available to us under applicable law.
Product descriptions and accuracy
We take care to describe products accurately. Product names, model numbers, part numbers, images and specifications are provided for identification. Some information comes from manufacturers or other third parties, and images may be representative. Where a detail is not confirmed, we leave it blank or mark it for confirmation rather than guess.
Before ordering, please check that the model number, part number, revision, approvals and compatibility match your system and vessel requirements. We will confirm key details in our quotation on request.
Availability
Products shown on the website are not guaranteed to be in stock. Unless a product page states otherwise, availability is confirmed only in a written quotation or order confirmation. Many marine spare parts are sourced to order, and some items may be obsolete or available only in limited quantities.
New, used and refurbished equipment
We may supply new, used or refurbished equipment. The condition will be stated on the product page where known, and in every case in our quotation or order confirmation. Used and refurbished items may show signs of previous use. Any testing, inspection or certification carried out on an item will be described in the quotation; nothing else should be assumed.
Prices, currencies, quotations and taxes
Where a price is shown, it is in the currency displayed and excludes shipping unless stated. Where no price is shown, the product is available on quotation.
Quotations are valid for the period stated on them. Prices may change before an order is accepted, for example because of supplier costs or exchange rates. Applicable taxes, including UAE value added tax where it applies, will be shown in the quotation or at checkout. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Orders and order acceptance
Submitting an order request through the website is an offer to buy. It does not create a contract. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing, usually by email, after confirming price, availability, condition and shipping. We may decline an order, for example where a product is unavailable, information is incorrect or the order would breach applicable law.
Payment
Payment methods and terms are stated in your quotation or order confirmation. We do not ship goods before payment has been received in accordance with the agreed terms. We never ask you to send card details by email.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping arrangements, costs and estimated delivery times depend on the product, destination and agreed quotation. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Cancellations and amendments
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate changes, but once an item has been sourced, ordered from a supplier, prepared or shipped, a change or cancellation may not be possible or may incur costs, which we will tell you about before proceeding.
Returns, refunds and warranties
Returns and refunds are handled under our Return & Refund Policy. Any warranty that applies to a product will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation. Where no warranty is stated, we do not give one beyond what the law requires. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
Technical suitability
You are responsible for confirming that products are suitable for your intended use and are installed, commissioned and maintained by competent personnel in line with the manufacturer's instructions, classification society requirements and the flag state rules that apply to your vessel. Our staff can share the information we hold about a product, but this does not replace professional engineering judgement.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, layout, graphics and our own photographs, belongs to Elektro Marine LLC or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own business use. You may not copy, republish or exploit our content without written permission.
Manufacturer names, product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their use on this website identifies products and does not imply endorsement, partnership or authorised-distributor status unless we state this expressly.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, including by submitting false information, attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, sending spam or automated requests, or uploading malicious content.
External links and third-party services

Limitation of liability
